Maybe fallow fields for native bee nesting should companion Blue Berries so
native bees could be available to do the job better.

Do any farmers try to do this?

Many blueberries growers in Michigan are looking at putting in pollinator
habitat. There is a large project called project 'Integrated Crop
Pollination' - http://icpbees.org/ That looks specifically at the
effectiveness and economic viability of this.
