Although I greatly respect the authors, I've got some problems with the
interpretation. In the first place, worker larvae can be raised just fine
without any beebread, pollen, or honey. And the degree of gene up or down
regulation (as well as those specifically involved in queen determination)
was small or contrary to expectation. I'm waiting before I draw
conclusions from this study.
