I agree that the effort is "designed to exclude others and protect their own" but it is unnecessary to draw a connection to religious beliefs and paint with so broad a brush. Protectionism and exclusion are not monopolized by any creed or culture, they are everywhere. My beliefs lean toward inclusivity and cross-pollination, but aren't based on religious views or lack thereof. The walls we build to keep ourselves safe become the walls of our own prisons. Liberté, égalité, fraternité!
