Can you provide any facts backing
up the assertion that this bee food
contains "chicken blood?"
Purina is quite open that it is made from chicken blood as one ingredient. This is listed on the label. Of course honey bees will work the blood and gut piles of field dressed deer vigorously so apparently they think blood is fine food. Then there are all the human dishes ranging from the English black pudding and jugged hare to the blood sausages eaten all across the European continent or the Italian desert Sanguinaccio dolce. Some African herders live mainly on a milk blood mix. Historically blood has been a normal human food in a great many societies. It seems, just like many other dishes such as greyfisk to fried grubs to raw fish and whale that what is one mans idea of revolting is anothers fine dining. I have found raw fish and raw whale delicious personally. YMMV.
