The backmark is for Robinsons, Jones & Company (1828-1834):

Although I could not match the eagle it is very similar to the Militia eagle buttons from 1820s-1830s

Hello all
We just excavated a flat eagle button with the back mark F.J. & CO Superfine with the words separated by 2 stars
The diameter 12.7 mm
The eagle facing looking at it is facing left with the left talon holding 1 branch and the right 3 arrows
This site has produced very few in military buttons with only  1 identified to the war of 1812.
The founding of the site is approx. 1816. Context is  Late Fur Trade
