endemic species, where invasive plants or animals threaten the continued
existence of those species.
Right. I was careful to distinguish between non-native and invasive. If a species is invasive and threatens valuable or endangered species, then this seems to be a legitimate justification for intervention. Just remaking the landscape according to some imaginary ideal does not.
