This meticulous study deserves widespread citation, as it is exactly the
sort of field study needed to accurately assess the impacts of neonic seed
treatment upon honey bees.

My question is why it has not gotten widespread attention.  Many
universities give press releases of studies with sensational findings.  But
these findings were hardly sensational, but instead could be considered as
"negative results."  The problem in the neonic debate is that negative
results tend to get short shrift.
