If I stored an extractor in my apartment, if would have to sit in the living
room. 


I am sure that is true,  by the same token given that choice was made,  you
would be (not you personal but in general) foolish to get started in a hobby
that is space intensive......  Human nature makes us want to do things
without the cost.   The cost of beekeeping is equipment and space ( among
many others)   I would say to anyone in NYC who wants honey,  buy it at the
store....

I am sure that may be an unpopular stance, but you cant raise cows in NYC,
and Starbucks don't fly in Oklahoma for a reason......
