When I worked for the USDA in South Texas (pre- and post-AHB) we
monitored feral colonies in the Santa Ana NWR. Every year when the sugar
cane was burned and then cut, there'd be tons of diarrhea streaked down the
trees (duck nest box, side of building, oil drum) from the entrance. We
mostly couldn't see inside the colonies so I don't know if there were feces
inside as well.
And then there's Yellow Rain.
