Looking at the data that Randy shared, another thought comes to mind, can the large increase in production be related to almonds and extra feeds? I just shipped bees to CA, not just for funds, but for the boost it gives the hives so they can make a lot more early honey.
When you look at the info, that’s about the time frame more and more stated hitting honey, and trucking them got a bit easier. Might be neat to overlay that with almond acres/tonnage.
I wonder also if the slow decrease in output could also be related to increased use of fungicides setting back those same hives?
Just alternate thoughts.
