I am shocked, shocked!
An interesting, worth-reading, more in-depth article covering the basic
issues facing (mostly migratory) beekeepers, centering around Zach
Browning's operation. But no actual bon mots from Zach, which is a shame.

It is also a very rare bird for an article about beekeeping, in that it is
well-written. Knowledge of beekeeping issues seems to almost never coexist
with the ability to plug nouns into verbs without inflicting pain on the
reader.

Note that "psmag" is not "Popular Science", they stopped writing about
actual Science, and became far less popular.
This is from "Pacific Standard", a New Yorker wannabe, a purveyor of
thoughtful "long-form" articles (i.e., not the usual 1500-3000 word product
of the Short Attention-Span Theater crowd).

While the phrase does not appear in the article, the URL actually comes out
and says "pollination-industrial-complex". You can almost hear the argument
between the author and the editor and the compromise that "buried" the
phrase in the URL, where it becomes the effective TITLE of the piece, rather
than just a phrase used in the article. Score one for crafty writers who
can negotiate on their feet.

More snow in the City.
Shoulda heeded that palm tree on Point Loma.
It saw its shadow, which strongly indicated a need for another six weeks of
San Diego.
