Look forward to a report back when they re-queen themselves - unless you plan to buy in new queens every year.  I have seen, and had to help deal with, some very bad tempered Buckfast crosses.


Interesting,  I hadn't heard that!  I will keep an eye out,  although I generally don’t allow that,  I do make splits from swarm cells a lot.  I will try to remember to take note.
