""Sensation" is the ability to physically acquire a signal. You and I have no sensation for infrared radiation, for instance. Pit vipers do.
Sure we do. It's called heat. We can't see it, but we can certainly feel it.
You misunderstand. Pit vipers can map it. For a pit viper, it's like vision. Meanwhile, you cannot distinguish infrared from any other long-wave radiation, and you lump it all into your "heat" sensation. You cannot distinguish infrared.
