I agree.

This is the polite thread, Stan said.  And it resembles what we academics call a "journal club".  My comments would not be considered offensive there.  It happens all the time in journal discussions...."unfortunately, they didn't do x, or y, or z".  But then we have to remember:  What are they trying to show?  Beyond that, they don't need to have more evidence.
