Hmmm  seems to me a very poor statement.  Any beekeeper knows treating mites on bees with  alcohol  does not have the same effects as powdered sugar for treatment.


If your looking to count mites,  Sugar in a solid jar shaker is about 80% effective.  Randy has some great numbers on it I am sure.

I hate the sugar for a simple reason,  when your done,  if you shook hard enough to get the mites,  those bees are pissed......
