"I've come to find out some Honey producers don't wash incoming glass containers for packaging honey. This practice is quite the norm for plastic squeeze containers molded in a food grade facility and shipped in tied off or shrink wrapped plastic packs. I'm interested to hear what other producers do for preparing their packaging before filling for sale. Anyone using compressed air to blow out any debris from containers for example?"
Most likely your state and local health department have an opinion on what should be done to sanitize the glass containers. Best to follow their procedures/policies.
