Curatorial Internships at the
Wheelwright Museum






 







The Ludwig and Nancy Sternberger Charitable Foundation, the Young Boozer Family Foundation, and the Norton T. and G. Leonie Batkin Fund are all supporting a program of internships, which are available to undergraduate and graduate students. Most interns will assist in the curatorial department with collections management and exhibition development, but some may work in the museum’s public relations office. Most of these opportunities are available only to Native American students.

 

Internship in Collections Management or Exhibition Development: In June 2018, depending on an applicant’s availability, two full-time, ten-week internships will be awarded to enrolled Native American undergraduate or graduate students. The roles and responsibilities of these interns will be linked to collections management or exhibition development. Each internship will have a stipend of $5,000.

 

Applications open on March 1st and close on May 4th. Applicants should provide a letter of interest explaining their background and their interest in working in a museum setting, a resume describing prior experience and relevant coursework, and two letters of support.
