The Society for Post-Medieval Archaeology (Europe's leading society for the study and promotion of historical archaeology, from c.1500 to the present day) was founded in 1966, and will celebrate its 50th anniversary this year with a special congress at Sheffield University, UK on Friday 1st – Sunday 3rd April 2016.
The provisional list of sessions, speakers and papers is now online and available here: http://www.spma.org.uk/events/conference2016/ where you can also book your place at the conference - £45 for student members, £60 for ordinary members and £90 for non-members, including lunches, refreshments, and the 50th anniversary reception at the Cutlers’ Hall. There is also an optional fieldtrip and a party at the Stancill Brewery.
