Exactly! The "virulence" of varroa in the sense of colony morbidity and
mortality is mainly due to viruses. So we need a term for the degree to
which a strain of varroa is able to successfully reproduce to high levels
in a colony.
Pete (or anyone else), can you suggest a more appropriate term?
