Here's a reference book we use. It is fully illustrated with line drawings,
showing the barbs and twists. It has been written by a collector, and has a
references section, an index to patents, an index to patentees with patents,
and an index to wires and figures. Each illustration gives the patent and
holder, and includes variations on patents.
