a mr Eugene Makovec question..
so who is right?
Well perhaps both are to some degree true??? Stating a question as this or that is often a false choice. A know and recognizable flaw in logical thinking...
As far as my own little blueberry patch goes both the natives and feral honeybees (as far as I know there are no managed hives in that location) seem to visit the flowers. We also have a wild variety of blueberries and like the domesticated version both kinds of pollinators seem to visit the flowers. As a pollination crop blue berries are kind of known to be hard on honeybees and can sometimes only be maintain with a bit of extra feeding. Which at least suggest as a crop are not that good for a honeybee.
There are a lot of very small pollinators that some folks might miss if you do not look closely at the bloom on both the domesticated and wild varieties of blueberries.
