Aaron I just found the same thing this week when it warmed enough to go
through my hives here in New England. I was surprised by the number of
unmarked queens this year and guessed at a paint failure issue, but
supersedure may well have played some part. I was equally surprised by the
still marked 2014 queen I found with one of the better brood patterns...
Must have missed her on the replacement rounds last year.
