The discussion was not among beginners. So far as I know, phosphine is a legal way of controlling pests in stored combs. Also, sulfur dioxide. Unless you can provide evidence to the contrary.
Both are legal to apply to food, Both require a pesticide applicators license. They are federally restricted use pesticides.
Which was my point. Both require sniffers for safe use. Lots more dangerous than say Flumetherin strips.... Use of which by unlicensed personnel would fall into the same category via EPA, but since many people have died from not knowing the ins and outs of fumigation, don't fall into the same safety category.
