Dear Histarchers,

Thanks to everyone who replied on and off list about the cannonball safe. The folks who contacted me were able to get it out of the ground, but have not yet been able to get it open. Still, this means that timing is not as critical because the construction project can continue on.

Archaeologists get asked weird things, which seems fair since we ask them as well!

Thanks,

Rebecca

Interesting Rebecca.

Can you explain why opening it is so urgent? Is the closed safe stopping
construction somehow?

Cheers
