To put these patterns in a historical and stylistic context, might I recommend...

Subject: Ceramic Pattern IDs
Dear Histarchers,
I am working on a very large and diverse ceramic assemblage (ca. 1880-1920) from a Chicago site. I am looking for resources on identifying aesthetic movement patterns, decalcomania, etc. from that era. The assemblage includes French, English, American, Japanese, and Chinese ceramics. I've gone through the usual suspects (my thanks to the JefPat's Diagnostic Artifacts of Maryland site for helping me with the Japanese Geisha Girl porcelains) but would appreciation some additional suggestions.
My students and I have been using a flickr site as our rough notes on patterns, should anyone want to look. Here it is https://www.flickr.com/photos/144052859@N03/sets/72157667184775494/

We also have an in-progress website on the excavation itself, should more context be helpful:

(pardon in advance my automatic reply-I still check email.)
Thanks,
Rebecca Graff
