I agree with Charlie on this. The water buffalo was introduced into
Northern Australia from Asia and went feral . My first experience
with them was one charging our landcruiser and putting his horns
through the door. I was astounded that this was the same animal I had
seen in Asia being led through the streets and fields by four year
old children and kept for the families milk and transport. But I do
not believe there was any genetic differences.
