The actual product name spelling was "Miticur", which may work better in
searching the interwebnets.
As I recall, the last few stanzas in the Norse saga of Miticur was that some
beekeepers in FL experienced losses which they blamed on Miticur, made loud
angry noises, and hired an attorney. Hoechst-Roussel, who had just bought
the product from Nor-Am Chemical, first did a recall circa 1993, and later
decided that they did not need the hassle of defending a lawsuit, so they
settled out of court with an unknown number of potential plaintiffs, and
pulled out of the beekeeping industry, never to return.
I'm sure that there is more intrigue and more plot twists than I remember in
all this, but I was not paying much attention, as I don't think the Section
18 ever got approved in many states, and the product was pulled before any
attempt was made to get a Section 3 registration (general release).
