At the same time as receiving this post, I had this from Catch the Buzz:

We clearly should be very concerned about all those neonicotinoids washing down the rivers as they are toxic to aquatic life.  

Perhaps a bigger question that should be asked now rather than after disaster strikes again is 'what impact will they have when they reach our oceans?'  Has this even been considered?
