Agreed, I sent him a note privately asking him about this, and his
comments were of course they already knew this. The goal was to see if they
could spot the differences by looking at the genomes and the markers. What
they showed that diets were actually something that very quickly effected
markers in the genes. He also explained that while they can see the
effects on certain things, there are a lot of parts of that map they could
not identify in any way for both fructose and sucrose.

TO copy and paste Genes response to my question.( there were several
topic's in the note but only one on this thread)

"The second was about the report on gene expression in response to
> HFCS. A lot of people are using that report as a basis that HFCS are
> bad for bees, I took it that your just pointing out that its not the
> same as honey, and not saying good or bad. Wondering if I missed
> something!
*You're right, we have only shown it induces a different profile of gene
activity, but we have not shown whether it is good or bad."

Again, those are his words.....

In further discussion he mentioned its much like the argument for and
against salt. Again the goal was to see the responses and start to
categorize them.

Why is it so many in beekeeping want to point at certain things and say "see
I told you so"??? I really have trouble with that thought process....

Charles
