If you had lived in America in the dirty 30's, you would have seen the 
effects of DDT and been very thankful.

I was born in 1940 and we needed this killer of the insects, several 
different kinds.

Had DDT not come along, several of us would not be here now.

People abuse all types of good chemicals today just as well as they did back 
then.
