Hold your money. The experiment has already been done and quantified in Germany. Drift of mites upon collapse was as great to colonies at a distance as to those adjacent.
I don't think I understand what your trying to say there??? Could you elaborate???
I have had it happen here several times, and don't see a huge influx in mites beyond what is pretty normal....
