>shows wind and currents
now placed for 250 hp wind
showing huge storm going to UK
Hi Juanse
What is 250 hp? Is that kilometres per hour?
We have been suffering storms now since before Christmas and tonight they
announced that we have had the wettest winter for 250 years (at least).
Winds reached over 100mph a few days ago over the Scilly Isles and the south
of the UK has huge amounts of flooding. It has to be seen to be believed.
The BBC website will give the latest www.bbc.co.uk.
This site is good for live wind speeds: http://www.xcweather.co.uk/.
After a fairly dry day today we have been told to expect yet more heavy rain
and winds this weekend; there is just no sign of an end to it. Here in the
Midlands we have escaped the worst, but still have many floods with roads
impassable. A number of our apiaries cannot be reached, even with 4 wheel
drive vehicles or on foot - in fact even large tractors would probably just
sink into the saturated ground. Everywhere there is deep mud.
Last evening we had a good laugh: on the news they announced that we would
not have a drought this year!
Best wishes
Peter
