Roger Morse, who trained many of today's senior bee researchers, was
adamant that wax moths in NYS are killed every year (frost kills all
stages, including eggs) and we (he was in Ithaca NY) are re-infested in the
summer.
He thought the infestation was primarily from migration of the moths, but
conceded that some probably came from commercial beekeepers coming north.
