I assume it is not to me you refer. However I have done such a thing in the
form of a coloured shape of Australia.
We refer to bees 'drawing' foundation and this is just what it looked like.
The walls were still coloured as if the edges of the imprint was 'drawn',
but a lighter shade than the original coloured foundation. I assumed that
there was some new wax added. Although I did not look for it I saw no
evidence that coloured wax being moved elsewhere.
