For another thing, a colony of bees does not normally consist of a single
genetic line. Rather, a great colony consists of a perfect "team" of some
15-40 groups of sister cohorts, each contributing special traits to overall
performance.
It is very difficult to compare bee breeding to any other form of livestock
breeding.
