I'm trying to comply with pooled advice regarding treatment for mites - to
test, have an idea how significant the mite burden is before treating -
again, may not be needed.
And yes there may be mites but the special "mite control split" of placing
parent hive queen into the daughter broodless split should interrupt brood
in both the parent and the daughter hives for longer than 10 days?
But to answer the original question about OA, in proper doses shows a
reputation of being well tolerated by the bee population in general,
including the queen. - right?
