As am I.
But there is a simple answer to your comment. All labs need funding. The
"demise" of the honey bee has been a huge source of funding (from which bee
science in general has *greatly* benefited).
Any lab needs to "market" their research in order to obtain funding. Did
you notice the figures cited for the Cornell native bee research? Nearly
$4 million. Can you blame them for trying to sell themselves : )
Yes, there was some exaggeration, but I don't begrudge them their success
at obtaining funding.
