"In 2006, he saw huge losses and was the first beekeeper known to suffer what was described by scientists as Colony Collapse Disorder. "
I know the area in NY where Dave's bees were before he split them and hauled them to FL. I don't know which yard or yards were the yard(s) he made the splits that later became the first CCD hives from, but generally knowing the area and what is grown there I wonder where the neonic exposure occured. In NY? Or in FL?
And if the alleged exposure was in NY, then why didn't other commercial migratory outfits with yards cheek to jowl with them suffer the same fate?
Too many mysteries and not enough solutions.
