Now this is interesting... makes me wonder if wrapping hives early to keep
them warmer could slow down mites in the Fall... I remember someone talking
about heating hives (slowly) to a level that killed mites, but not bees in
a controlled room.
I've heard and read about the outpacing the mite growth curve, but never
heard about the role of thermoregulation.


Any chance of finding the results you're talking about Jerry?  I would
definitely be interested in the reading.
