Hi all,
I hope this is not entirely off topic for list interests.
A friend of my family passed away suddenly. He was an avid reader and researcher. His family are trying to find a home for parts of his library. Key among the subjects:
1. Coin auction history and numismatics. There is about 20-25 linear feet of auction and sale catalogs, coin collection pubs and galleries, prices realized, and associated publications, published between 1965 and 1995 (primarily).
2. As an avid follower of treasure shipwreck research, there is a large collection of books (in excess of 175 volumes) including academic works and popular publications on treasure fleets, underwater archaeology, shipwreck surveys and studies, and such topics.
The family would prefer to make institutional gifts of the complete collections, but wish them to go to a library or collection where they will be valued and used.
If you are interested and live in the Eastern Mid-Atlantic of the USA, please email me OFF LIST. The family hopes to have resolution ASAP.
Thanks,
Tim Scarlett
