Additionally, there is the possibility of inviable sperm. Sperm which is present but not capable of fertilizing eggs. There is some evidence that miticides can cause sperm inviability when applied to the colonies where drones are being raised. The presence of inviable sperm could cause all kinds of problems including premature supersedure, etc
