A least one reporter has been brave enough to buck the "environmental
awareness" fundraising machine, and he echoes many of the points that have
been made here.

Overall, the best I've seen so far on the subject.
I'm not sure he did himself any good with the title he chose, as unless one
is writing for the New York Post, funny headlines can backfire.
He made a few minor errors of his own, for example laying blame for
"leadership" of the Penn State / USDA / Ian Lipkin CCD "team" that produced
the heavily promoted but quickly-retracted claims about IAPV on poor Dennis
vanEngelsdorp, when Dennis did not even get his PhD until 2011, but these
were minor errors.
I doubt that this will do anything except make it impossible for the
reporter to sell any of his articles to Mother Jones, but it is heartening
to see the facts laid out outside the beekeeping trade press.
