Agreed on feeding with supers on, this one is a bit odd as its only a
pollen shortage, nectar seems to still be flowing a bit.

That's a interesting idea. The mega bee I was ponder was not patties, but
heavy syrup mix. Its ends up being brown, but its mostly syrup. Not sure
coloring it would help? I will try a bit today, but guessing the brown
color(which would look like pollen diluted) will be hard to change.

AS for pollen itself, I am baffled a bit. This time last year I was
putting on pollen traps. This year the corn is starting to tassel, and the
bees are starving for pollen. I did notice what I thought was a bit weird,
one really strong hive had 2 frames of pollen stored that the seem to not be
touching, despite an obvious shortage in the brood nest area.

Thanks for the input Randy, just getting ready to ready your latest writings
on feed. The mega bee site says they won't store it also.

charles
