Two of those five are viable to this day and have not required re-queening.
Since 1996?? I must have missed something. They had to of at least
requeened themselves.
The question I have is what are their mite levels?? Are they managing mites
or surviving them???

The few Hives that I have that maintain low levels do it be what looks to be
frequent brood breaks.
