"Those bees indeed "just showed up at the doorstep," because while we shout,complain, and gesture, and delay the course of evolution by human intervention, old Mom Nature just keeps quietly plugging along with her selective process despite us.?"


I think that "local bees" are the best bees.  I could be wrong, but they seem to deal with the local weather, the local forage, and the generic "arriving from everywhere" pests better than any product of genetic engineering (i.e. breeding) that I've experience with so far.  I haven't tried Russians yet.  Am looking forward to playing with some next season, maybe.
