Actually, the US beekeeper is inside of a protective bubble, for now. Any shortage of bees could be quickly remedied by allowing bees in from the Southern Hemisphere. Pollination fees would cave. And the strong price of domestic honey would quickly cave -- again -- if honey was allowed in unregulated. So any so-called free market is generally a closed system; free within the agreed upon boundaries. Once again, it's regulate them but not me.
