I think that "local bees" are the best bees. I could be wrong, but they seem to deal with the local weather, the local forage, and the generic "arriving from everywhere" pests better than any product of genetic engineering (i.e. breeding) that I've experience with so far. I haven't tried Russians yet. Am looking forward to playing with some next season, maybe.
