I read that paper on the effects of neonics on bird populations in the Netherlands and as a scientist, I found the conclusions to be very suspect. Anyone can hit a bullseye every time if one simply paints the target around the arrow after shooting it. If you look at the actual neonic levels reported in the waters sampled, as I remember single digit nanograms per liter, orders of magnitude below the LD50s, belief in the conclusions requires the same mindset as belief in homeopathic medicine...
