the most serious objection of all is that by taking the
cases out of the hands of the owners of the bees, we would deprive
them of the privilege of learning to treat disease. Our work should
be educational to the bee-keepers throughout the district and to take
cases out of their hands would defeat that purpose. The slogan of
the inspection campaign should be, "Every man his own inspector."

Morley Pettit, Provincial Apiarist
Guelph, Canada, Nov. 27th, 1914.
