The following sentence is what I was referring to:
"Overall, the results suggest that there is not necessarily a strong
relationship between hygiene against FKB [freeze-killed brood] and hygiene
against varroa."
That means that in any breeding program that discards queens whose workers
do not express traits for FKB removal, that you will likely be discarding
stock that exhibits traits for varroa resistance.
On the other hand, selecting instead using varroa levels as your selection
criterion will likely also result in selection for brood hygiene.
